Skills for Living
RETREATS

4 1/2 days Residential and Non-Residential

Skills for Living Retreats were born from our desire to provide an opportunity for individuals to experience the feeling of love and a new way to deal with life issues. Since the retreats began, they have been attended by people in every age range, every economic level, a variety of professions, married or single. But they all had a common goal...to see change in people's lives.

Some had a history of abuse...some saw themselves repeating family patterns that were harmful...some were in the healing professions and wanted to speak more effectively into the lives of those who came to them for help.

What some folks have said.....

"Your programme changed my life and saved my marriage, I can't thank you enough!" K., Colorado

"Glad I came...I'll never be the same...," J.C., Kansas

"This should be required of every Christian. I've seen God's love worked out in a powerful way." G.M., England

"I saw God working in lives to help them break through pain to begin healing." B.B. Wyoming

"More than met expectations...I have met the Father and released 50 years worth of anger. I'm speechless..." B.J.Z., Minnesota

at a Skills for Living Retreat you will...

EXPERIENCE AND COME TO UNDERSTAND

Based on Matthew 5:3-12
  1. God's love in a new personal and powerful way.
  2. Your own struggles in relationship and how God wants to heal them.
  3. What it means to take authority in your life.
  4. How to make positive contributions into the lives of others.
  5. How to receive positive and healthy contributions into your own life.
  6. What it truly means to "press forward" and to "leave the past behind."

...and HELPS TO IDENTIFY:

  • Areas of struggle in our own lives and in the lives of those to whom we minister!
  • Skills we need to develop to have healthy experiences in all areas of your life!
  • The difference between Boundaries and Strongholds and how they affect our life!
  • Life Commandments -- what they are, how they interfere with our Christian growth and how they affect our daily relationships!

Who a Retreat is for, What it IS, and What it ISN'T...

Those who have attended retreats, received help, and expressed their appreciation include:

  • People struggling with recurring issues
  • Those unhappy in relationships
  • Licensed and Unlicensed Therapists
  • People in Leadership
  • Careworkers
  • Pastor's and their wives
  • Abuse Victims
  • People of any nation, ethnicity, culture, and backround.

A Skills for Living Retreat IS a time and a place to...

  • learn and grow
  • examine thoughts
  • look at our lives honestly
  • explore changes
  • experience God's love and grace

A Skills for Living Retreat IS NOT...

  • a support group
  • therapy
  • a vacation
  • a 12 step group
  • a "formula" for healing
