Skills for Living is a registered charity in the US, the UK and Kenya. SFL also has NGO status in Kenya under the same name.
During its history Skills for Living has provided retreats, seminars, workshops, day programmes and facilitator training to assist people to transform their thinking and thereby transform their lives. Since 1991 we have been receiving remarkable testimonies of changes lives, restored families, renewed hope and strengthened relationships.
In 2001 Walt and Valerie were invited to speak in Kenya. The teaching was well received and from that visit has grown a group of dedicated men and women in that country who are now imparting these principles of responsible living in 25 churches, 6 pre-schools and 3 widow’s tailoring schools.

In October of 2007 Walt Acuff passed from this world. He is very much missed by many around the world. Valerie is continuing the work in Kenya with the help and support of people who care and who want to share their resources, time and ideas.
The retreats, workshops, and day programmes are currently on hold until 2009. You can check this web site then to see what the future holds for these avenues of experience and learning.
